A new beautiful human light was born on June 8th at 3:04 am.

Lillian Frances Schiller-Stacey picked awesome parents to guide her on her journey. Zach and Claire are wonderful compassionate people and are friends of this radio station. We send our love, huggs and kisses to the happy new parents.

We thought we would say nice things about Zach before we read his dissertation. LOL .. just kidding.

Zach Schiller met Erv Knorzer at a protest in Sacramento. Our outstanding black shirt design caught his eye right away. Zach had just recently discovered KRBS online and was thinking about contacting us to be a part of his study. It was magic that Erv and Zach where in the same spot that fateful day.

So Zach came up from Davis and met with us. We really liked him. He was so genuine and caring. He also had such a passion for community radio and the media environment he quickly became an integral part of this station. He helped build cubicles, filled in on programs, worked at our fundraisers, and was eager to help out with anything we needed. Zach also interviewed all our programmers in the year he hung with us, which was a win/win situation. Our programmers got a chance to share their experiences and reasons for doing what they do at KRBS. We never allow enough time for that, just sharing what this is we do… we just do, mostly. Zach quickly made close friendships with the people here at KRBS, we are a friendly lot, and so is he. We’re grateful for the time he spent with us. He added to the spirit of the station in a lasting way, and even got caught up, occasionally, in the excitement of our day to day dramas that seem to be abundant here on Bird St.
