Salud was born, raised and schooled in Sacramento, CA. She's been involved with music since she was 5-years-old. Salud relocated to Oroville in 1992 and joined KRBS Radio in 2007 with a dream to expose the region to the passionate rhythms and sounds of SALSA music.

This show features radio programs ranging from the 1910’s to 1950’s. Missy airs radio programs from different genres such as; comedy, drama, crime/detective, mystery/suspense, western, adventure, sci-fi, horror, quiz/game shows, and variety.

Although Missy was born after the “Golden Age of Radio”, she loved listening to horror and suspense since she was a teenager. She made many trips to the school library seeking out records of old radio shows. The Golden Age of Radio is Missy's personal effort to re-introduce Oroville’s senior community to the golden Age of Radio, as well as, introduce the magic of this era to the teens of today. As her teenage son’s says,  “This is really cool!”
